Through the Eyes of a Gringo . . .

You wouldn’t come off as being very polite if you didn’t greet people.  Therefore, this “Conversations in Kichwa” post will feature a few common greetings heard in our area.

We’re used to telling people “Good Morning.”  In Kichwa you would say it this way:

Alli Punlla (a-zhee poon-zha)

“Good Afternoon” is:

Alli Chishi  (a-zhee chee-shee)

“Good Evening” or “Good Night” [...]
